Identify sensitive surfaces
Distinguish molding, sealing, bearing, sliding, ground, polished, coated, and cosmetic surfaces. Protection methods must not damage the required finish or contaminate later processing.
Define handling and temporary protection
Agree cleaning, drying, gloves or handling controls, temporary protective media, and any restrictions on oils, films, or residues.
Match packaging to the route
Consider humidity barrier, desiccant, vapor-corrosion protection, physical separation, edge protection, sealed packaging, shipment duration, and the buyer’s unpacking and storage procedure.
